La somme de nos souvenirs leads a reflection on the objectification process inherent to a video capture. A subject facing a camera is ultimately alienated an unable to turn around.
In this work, Saturne Camus-Govoroff contemplates an escape of the gaze through dance.
If choreography is a form of alienation as well, it can although be liberating. In fact repetition may evolve to a form of trance in which the objectified subject eventually transcends their condition.
